Normandeau's Tom Payne wins HydroVision Technical Papers Award

Bedford, NH — Thomas Payne of Normandeau Associates won First Place in the HydroVision International 2012 Best Technical Papers of the Year in the Environmental/Social category. The topic of his paper was "SEFA - Computer Software System for Environmental Flow Analysis Based on the Instream Flow Incremental Methodology."

The Technical Paper Awards were a new feature of this year's HydroVision conference; awards were presented in five categories and selected by the conference's Program Committee. HydroVision is the world's largest gathering of hydropower professionals. An estimated 2400 people from some 40 countries attended this year's event, July 17-20, in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. Payne shared the award with colleague Ian G. Jowett of Jowett Consulting. They will present their paper again in September at the Ecohydraulics Conference in Vienna.
