Work Completed on 200-Mile Pipeline Project | | Bedford, NH — Friday, February 08, 2013 — Normandeau Associates has completed a natural resources assessment on a nearly 200-mile pipeline route in Pennsylvania and Ohio. Work included delineation of wetlands and an inventory of state/federal rare, threatened or endangered plants and animals, including bat mist netting and rattlesnake studies in areas with appropriate habitat. Using the results of our natural resource database analysis and field work, Normandeau prepared and submitted numerous reports and maps to state and federal natural resource agencies. The GIS maps included a comprehensive inventory of plant communities, wetlands, streams, water bodies, soil types and other site-specific information. This essential information is being used by the project developer and agencies as they seek to avoid, minimize and mitigate potential impacts to RTE habitat and several plant communities of ecological concern. |
