Normandeau Appoints Kevin Stickney as Interim Director

Bedford, NH — Normandeau Associates, Inc. announced today that Kevin Stickney has been appointed interim Director to Normandeau's Board of Directors.

Kevin Stickney is Principal, President, and co-founder of Calypso Communications, an award-winning strategic marketing and public relations firm founded in 2000 and with a global clientele of Fortune 500, private, non-profit, entrepreneurial, and government organizations. Calypso has developed successful, vertically integrated practices in energy and environment, healthcare, financial services, and technology sectors, and earned a highly regarded reputation for building effective public advocacy, grass roots, and campaign support for diverse corporate and government interests.

In particular, Kevin works closely with Calypso's leading energy and environmental clients. Since 2000, these have included worldwide independent power producer InterGen; Northeast Utilities; Wheelabrator Technologies; Babcock Power Inc.; GenPower; Calpine; Cogentrix; U.S. Water; Utilities, Inc.; biodiesel pioneer Green Earth Fuels; ethanol leaders Verenium and BioEnergy; Applied Wind Technologies; Exeter Health & Safety; Halcyon Technologies; Predictive Power; Zampell Companies; and Mission Energy, among others.

Kevin has more than twenty-seven years of executive-level experience in designing and managing complex marketing, public affairs, investor relations, and community issues involving fuels, technologies, systems, and services across rapidly evolving energy and environmental sectors. He is an expert in national media relations strategies and comprehensive employee, investor, and marketing communications programs for legislative, labor, and regulatory matters; manufacturing sectors; service sector businesses; and capital project business development. He also has worked extensively with America's largest national conservation and environmental advocacy organizations.

In a 17-year career in the country's largest and most progressive waste-to-energy developer and operator, Wheelabrator Technologies Inc., Kevin managed all of the company's public relations initiatives and conceived landmark national public school education and habitat protection programs. As Vice President of Public Affairs, his expertise in communicating information on complex technologies, delivering sensitive environmental messages, and building successful coalitions to support company projects required in-depth knowledge of the company's activities in waste-to-energy, water and wastewater treatment, composting, recycling, biosolids, air quality control, residual ash reuse and management, construction, and plant operations.

Prior to starting Calypso, Kevin was founder and President of Allagash Communications. Kevin also served as co-founder and VP of Marketing at Internet education pioneer WebED, Inc., which was eventually sold to Sylvan Learning. Before joining Wheelabrator, he taught public schools and served for three years as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in the Republic of Korea and an English Instructor at ChungAng University in Seoul, South Korea. He also has been an Advertising and Marketing Instructor at the University of New Hampshire, New England College, and Antioch New England Graduate School.

A New Hampshire native that has lived and traveled throughout the world, Kevin earned a B.A. in English, with a Minor in Mechanical Engineering from Union College and University, and an M.A. in Linguistics, Harvard University Extension.
