Bedford, NH — Normandeau Associates is a teaming partner on three out of four winning teams selected to provide documentation support for preparing Environmental Impact Statements (EIS), Environmental Assessments (EA), and other appropriate environmental reports and documentation required by federal and state regulation in support of the MMS mission to lease undersea lands for future offshore renewable energy projects. These documents will address highly complex and controversial issues, and therefore will be subject to rigorous review by experts in scientific and legal fields, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, industry, and the general public.

NEPA preparation for alternative energy and alternate use projects requires an interdisciplinary approach that integrates the use of natural, physical, and social sciences, with clear expertise and experience in the marine sciences. Normandeau brings to this program substantial marine science experience studying environmental impacts for offshore renewable and traditional energy power producing and transmission programs and facilities for government and industry. Normandeau's technical and management experience complement its knowledge of the alternative and renewable energy market relative to off shore, estuarine, and on shore developments.
