Normandeau Associates, Inc. Wins USACE Contract

News

Normandeau has won a five-year, $6 million contract to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New England District, North Atlantic Division. Normandeau will provide technical expertise in support of the District’s mission for maintaining the nation’s waterways, with a specific focus on environmental monitoring and sampling services associated with dredged material management.

Normandeau Associates, Inc. is excited to announce our partnership with USACE, New England District. Under this Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, Normandeau will support the New England District with environmental assessment, policy, resource management and protection responsibilities. Technical support provided by the Normandeau team will include environmental monitoring studies; environmental sampling and analysis; oceanographic surveys; sediment profile imaging; marine sediment assessment; water quality monitoring; plume tracking; identification of various plants, fish, wildlife, and benthic fauna; preparation of work plans and environmental reports; geospatial data analysis and management; and more.

The first few task orders have been released, and work is underway. These task orders will utilize our technical expertise in support of dredged material monitoring and management, and require the collection of sediment samples for physical, chemical, and biological analysis; hydrographic surveys; benthic data collection data analysis; and reporting.

Normandeau has worked with USACE in the past on a number of different projects related to natural resource monitoring and analysis. Normandeau CEO Curt Thalken expressed gratitude for getting to work with USACE yet again: “We are appreciative of the New England District’s commitment to Small Business opportunities and look forward to working with the District to improve the New England region’s waterborne infrastructure over the next five years.”

Be on the lookout for photos and updates from this project both on our website and on social media.
